Cover FX Review

I decided to write a review on Cover FX custom cover drops after I won a shade on twitter.  If you are not familiar with Cover FX they are custom cover drops that you can add to your moisturizer to make it tinted! For that matter you can add it to any liquid: moisturizers, serums, oils, primers, and even foundations. They won an Allure Award in 2015 for a breakthrough product.

I love that Cover FX saves me a step during my morning routine.  I am always doing something different every day and do not always need full coverage.  I use one, two, or three drops depending on what my day entails.  The more drops you add the more coverage you will get.  About a dime size of my moisturizer and two drops of Cover FX  is my everyday formula. I mix it with the tip of my beauty blender and apply with the opposite end.

Here are some before and after coverage photos:

Custom cover drops are available in 15 mL size bottles.  You can choose from three tone categories: pink, neutral, and golden. A total of 25 colors to choose from.  This bottle will last me at least a year and at the price of $44 it is well worth it!

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara

I received this as a free gift from Influenster . All opinions are 100% my own.

I was really excited when Influenster notified me that I was in the Marc Jacobs Beauty VoxBox Campaign.  Beauty has always been a huge thing for me and sometimes I have to pencil these things in with twins.  Influenster sent me the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara.
I am of Asian decent and many of us know that we always have problems with stick straight, thin, and short lashes.  I look for mascara to help define my eyes and to give me confidence.  This mascara was able to deliver what I was looking for, which makes me comfortable with walking out the door wearing just mascara.

Now to show you what amazing results I got from the mascara applied only to my left eye.  First, I always curl my eye lashes with my MAC eye lash curler for about 20 seconds each eye.  The shape of the Marc Jacobs mascara makes it easy to hold with a firm grip!  I applied two coats to both top and bottom lashes and it gave me instant satisfaction.  You can surely do a third coat for the dramatic look but I just wanted to go for the natural.  The dry feel of the mascara is very soft and not hard like other mascaras! I was able to wear it all day without it running or smudging.

The Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara  does carry a hefty price of $26.00 but it is a designer cosmetic item that gives you quality and results! You can purchase it at Sephora when it is in stock again. That just means everyone really loves it! I hope you enjoyed my first post and I look forward to what 2016 brings!
